By Car

From most parts of the UK, the most direct access to Fairfield House is via the M5. From the North, exit at Junction 23, join the A38 South into Bridgwater and then follow the A39 towards Minehead. On entering Williton, Fairfield House is about 200 yards past the Railway Inn Pub on the right.

From the South and West, exit at Junction 26, take the A38 North towards Taunton, then on the outskirts of Taunton take the first exit off the roundabout, up Silk Mills Road (A3065) and at the next roundabout follow the A358 towards Minhead. At Williton, follow the A39 towards Bridgwater and Fairfield House is 300 yards on the left.

Parking

Please note that parking is to the rear of Fairfield House, approached by turning into Doveton’s Drive to the East of Fairfield House and then first left to the end of Doveton’s Close (pictured, right).

By Bus or Coach

The nearest major Bus Station is in Taunton. This is serviced from all parts of the UK by National Express with international links via Eurolines. Their scheduled journey time from London is about 4 hours. Local coach operators, Berry’s Coaches, also run an express service from London Hammersmith to Taunton which takes about 3 hours.

By Train

From London, take a train from Paddington Station. These normally take about 2 hours and leave every hour. For full timetables and booking, see UK rail timetables and on-line booking.

From Taunton by Bus or Taxi. To reach Fairfield House from Taunton Railway or Bus Station, take the number 28 First Bus which leaves half hourly and takes about 35 minutes.

The bus stop in Williton is a five minute walk from Fairfield House. From the bus stop walk past the Indian restaurant (Bengal Spice) and the Cooperative store keeping both to your left. Bear right along Long Street (A39), past The White House until you reach a junction called North Croft. Fairfield House is at that junction on the left.

Taxis are also available from Taunton rail or bus station. However, booking Abbey Road Taxis ahead on 01984 633555 will save you money.

By Air

The nearest international airport to Fairfield House is Bristol Airport which is about 40 miles away. Bristol is serviced from Europe by Easyjet, Air France, KLM, Ryanair and Aer Lingus among others. Public transport to Bristol Airport entails taking the Airport Flyer bus to or from Bristol Temple Meads Station and then a train to Taunton.

London Heathrow Airport is about 2½ hours away from Taunton by train. It can be reached via Reading and then a Railair coach or via London Paddington and the Heathrow Express. National Express also run about 10 services daily between Taunton and Heathrow taking between 3 and 4 hours.

Travel between Fairfield House and London Gatwick Airport by train is via Reading. The journey between Taunton and the Airport is hourly and takes about 2¾ to 3¼ hours.
